You can hold onto the beauty of autumn by decorating your home with fresh fall colors and textures. Redecorating can be costly and time-consuming, but there are ways to add a touch of autumn to your home without spending a small fortune in the process.

Throws & Pillows - Give your furniture a bit of fall flair with warm and cozy patterned throws. You can make throws using fleece fabric in lovely shades of autumn, and easily add decorative fringe by trimming and knotting the edges. Alternately, you can buy ready-made throws in fabulous fall colors.
Pair furniture throws with decorative pillows in rich fall colors of deep green, blazing orange, and rich looking gold. For added interest, choose textured chenille and knobby woven fabrics as well as soft and silky varieties.

A Great Centerpiece - Celebrate fall by creating a new centerpiece for the dining room table. Put away the artificial fruit or flowers, and replace them with a display of colorful gourds and miniature pumpkins.

Create pillar candle displays in beautiful shades of red, gold, orange, and green, and surround them with pinecones. You can also surround your centerpieces with a fall garland and pine boughs. Place fresh pine boughs around the centerpieces, and intertwine strings of artificial leaves or other fall garland around the display.

Create a Wreath - While decorating for fall, don’t forget vertical spaces. Consider decorating a handmade grapevine wreath with beaded garland, colorful leaves, pine sprigs, pinecones, nuts, and acorns. Illuminate the wreath by wrapping it with a string of small white lights. Place your beautiful creation above a mantel or a doorway.
