These Decor Trends Will Set the Mood for Fall
Kosoff / Adobestock

Decorating your home for the fall season can create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Here are the top three fall decorating tips to help you achieve a warm and festive look:

Embrace Autumn Colors

  • This season, jewel tones will take center stage. Deep burgundies, luxurious purples, emerald greens, and royal blues are bold colors that offer a fresh take on the classic fall palette. Luxurious yet oh-so-cozy fabrics like velvet are perfect for throw pillow covers or curtains.

  • Add pops of color to your dining table or around the house with seasonal fruits and vegetables, such as pumpkins, gourds, apples, and pomegranates. These provide vibrant hues and create a natural and rustic ambiance.

Use Natural Elements

  • Incorporate natural materials like wood, burlap, and woven textiles into your decor. These materials have a rustic charm that complements the fall season; consider changing up your curtains or rugs.

  • Bring the outdoors in by collecting leaves, pine cones, acorns, or twigs and displaying them in glass cloche containers or terra cotta pots. Arrange bouquets of dried flowers or grasses, such as sunflowers, wheat, eucalyptus, and pampas grass, in vases or baskets.

Create Cozy Spaces

  • Add mood lighting with candles, lanterns, and string lights. Warm, ambient lighting can enhance the cozy feeling of fall.

  • Swap out lightweight textiles for heavier, textured ones. The trend this year favors “nubby” textures like boucle and thick wool. Experiment with these tactile elements through throw pillows, blankets, and other textiles.
